Conference by Patricia Limido: «Repenser le monde de la vie à partir des nouvelles esthétiques environnementales».
The new diversity of landscapes and urban spaces which now constitute our world of life, or as Husserl our Umwelt says, requires new analyzes in order to re-examine the modalities and categories of the aesthetic experience. In a certain way, this is what the environmental aesthetics, which was formed in the wakes of the Anglo-Saxon analytical philosophy, has been proposing for some twenty years.
Patricia Limido, Ph.D. and Associate Professor of Philosophy, teaches philosophy and aesthetics at Rennes 2 University in the Department of Art History. Husserl and Ingarden, who has translated a number of texts (Aesthetics and Ontology of the work of art, Paris, Vrin, 2011, L'Œuvre d'art architecturale, Paris, Vrin, 2013), she also works on the aesthetics of landscape and landscaping; at the intersection of these different interests is the correlation of the subject and the object and the constitution of the world of life. She recently published A Philosophical History of Nature, Éditions Apogée, Rennes, 2014, and Les Arts et l'expérience de l'espace, Éditions Apogée, 2015.
